Monastery Cells as Guest Rooms
The former monastery cells are open for our hotel guests, a total of 30 single, double and family rooms on two floors. Our rooms are still furnished as in the times of the Capuchins, some of them even with historical box beds and secretaries. Our modern mattresses ensure the highest quality of sleep. Many of the rooms offer a magnificent view of the magnificent monastery garden. For all guests there are modern bathrooms on each floor. The monastery is wheelchair accessible, disabled bathrooms and toilets are located on the second floor.

Rooms with Art
Some of the former monastery cells are decorated with artistic contributions – a special overnight experience! We make a point of preserving the monastic, simple atmosphere of the rooms and gently enlivening them with contemporary accents from art and culture. Each of our rooms is designated with a title and is continuously used artistically by our artist-in-residence guests as well as on the occasion of our exhibitions.

ROOM: HOPE “VACUITAS DELICIAE EST”
Olten artist Andrea Nottaris has created an installation which allows new freedom to enter this monastery cell still outfitted with its original box bed and secretary: freedom is a luxury – thought is necessary. A used display case without memory or content, narrow in structure and form, frees itself into a swarm of individual parts that are dynamically distributed about the room. These provide stimulus to think, to be amazed, and to dream.
ROOM: PEACE “AUDIO BOX MUSIC”
The original monastery cell “Peace” contains small poetic objects, books, and an audio box. This box is a zeppelin-shaped object made of local cherry wood and contains six specially selected classical and modern pieces of music. Ease of use invites the guest to while away the time listening through headphones. An audio and art installation created by Sandra Löwe, Sprachhaus M.
ROOM: HAPPINESS “ZEITGEIST”
In our pulsating, fast-paced lives, time has become a luxury. The sensation of time seems to fluctuate between real and perceived time. Time has many spirits. Discover some of these in four hourglasses. A creative contribution by the students Manuela Dornbierer and Joanna Selinger from the course “Luxury as an Experiment” at the FHNW School of Art and Design, Basel.
ROOM: STAY «TÄNZERINNEN»
“Stay” is a fine, Nordic room. One almost steps into the parlor of a grandmother.
During Susanne Smajić’s exhibition “Bilderwelten”, which occupies the whole monastery, three hotel rooms are decorated with ink drawings. In “Stay” two pink ladies move softly, sincerely, playfully
and an old child’s toy, a little bird, sits on the window sill. Tender freshness.

ROOM: APOLLINARIS «TÄNZERINNEN»
«Apollinaris» at the end of the cross corridor is a kind of hiding place, a secret. A noble two-bed room.
During Susanne Smajić’s exhibition «Bilderwelten», which occupies the entire monastery, three hotel rooms are decorated with ink drawings. In the «Apollinaris» there are eight drawings that refine and structure the room through movement and expression. In addition, an amber fragrance under glass. Inspiration.

ROOM: GUARDIAN «TÄNZERINNEN»
For centuries, this former cell inhabited the abbot of the monastery. During Susanne Smajić’s exhibition «Bilderwelten», which occupies the entire monastery, three hotel rooms are decorated with ink drawings. In the «Guardian» noble dancers cavort, protected by a small guardian under glass. Fullness.
